Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the Head of Purchasing & Facilities (HPF) is to oversee purchasing for all food items, bar consumables, linens, small wares, and service ware. The HPF also oversees service contracts, FOH and BOH repair and maintenance, and DOH compliance. Position Requirements: 2 – 3 years purchasing experience in $15m+ restaurants NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene certification Strong technological proficiency including email, Excel, Slack and purchasing software. Basic knowledge of routine repairs Ability to troubleshoot restaurant issues. Availability to work various shifts, weekends and holidays when needed. Strong communication skills and a courteous and professional demeanor. Must be able to carry out orders and work independently. Walk and stand during the entire shift. Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, and stoop. Be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. Must have ability to communicate proficiently in English.
